AudioTRIP takes DC community to new levels of artistry

May 11, 2010 - PRLog -- Lil SoSo Productions (LSP), DC’s prominent source of diverse and cultural entertainment, teams up with Smirnoff to bring local art, fashion and music enthusiasts “AudioTRIP.” This event promises to take attendees to new creative heights, boasting an amazing line up of DJs, live music, fashion talent and complimentary Smirnoff cocktails. This event is free to the public; however, attendees need to visit www.lilsoso.com to RSVP and book their flights. Admittance is strictly limited to advanced reservations.

On Tuesday, May 18th from 8pm to 12:30am, Muse Lounge (717 6th Street, NW) will transport attendees to three destinations of entertainment. Nikki Strong, WHUR’s host of “Strong in the City,” hosts the live musical performances from DC’s soulful natural born singer Ne’a Posey; Cleveland’s refreshingly vibrant Aaron Abernathy (AB) music director for the legendary hip-hop group Slum Village; and international DJs Handspeak of Japan; MazeOne known for his Caribbean and Latin music repertoire and advocacy of undiscovered independent hip-hop artists; and Spinna, notoriously known for his Stevie Wonder inspired “Wonderful” parties as well as his Funk, Soul and Jazz, Hip-Hop and future Electronic/Dance music skills, all on the first floor of Terminal One.

Terminal Two features the musical styling of Daz-I-Kue of Bugz In The Attic and integral part of the UK music scene; Waajeed a Detroit music veteran and founding member of Platinum Pied Pipers; DJ 2-Tone Jones of Ill Street Grooves and Decipher Hip-Hop strip on DC’s WPFW 89.3 FM/Pacifica Radio; and DJ, producer and Low Budget Crew representative RoddyRod.

Attendees can navigate up to Terminal Three for live artwork by Aniekan Udofia accompanied by world-renowned DJ, Producer and Poet Rich Medina, creator of the Fela inspired “Jump n Funk” party; and the ever-popular regular features to the DC nightlife scene, the Soul Controllers, comprised of DJs Stylus and Jahsonic.

Along with an eclectic mix of musical and visual artist “AudioTRIP” has an outpour of support from partners of the local creative community. The following community partners have joined LSP and Smirnoff to present AudioTRIP:
