New liquid and powder paints from DuPont CoatingSolutions at the PaintExpo in Karlsruhe

Imron Hydro TopCoat – the water-based added value solution
The new water-based paint system Imron Hydro TopCoat was developed for use in commercial vehicle construction and general industrial applications. The environmentally friendly pigment pastes and optimally matching binder allow users to mix nearly any desired colour. The high-quality polyurethane-based top coat is characterised by its minimized solvent content, easy application, low material consumption rates and extremely quick drying – improving productivity. High mechanical, chemical stability and UV resistance ensure optimal and stable colours and shine. Imron Hydro TopCoat is available as a high-quality 2K system in a broad range of gloss grades – ranging from high-gloss to matt, a 2K textured finish with various textures as well as both 2K and 1K DTM variations for direct application to metal. Imron Hydro TopCoat will become available in the coming months.

PercoTop CV and Industry line – flexible in every way
With the PercoTop CV and Industry line, DuPont CoatingSolutions is offering a tailor-made solvent-based coating system that covers a very broad spectrum of applications. It was specially designed to meet industry’s needs. Over 16,000 colours with various grades of gloss, including metallic and pearl effects, make it easy to meet the requirements for individuality when painting commercial vehicles, construction machinery and general industrial products. PercoTop can be adjusted so finely that it perfectly matches powder coated surfaces, such as those coated with DuPont’s Alesta products. Coating even the most difficult surfaces is quick and efficient because of the specific coating properties of the paint system. Every pigment concentrate from PercoTop is lead-free. The top coat system is offered in 2K polyurethane and epoxy technology. Various 1K top coats are also available. The PercoTop system is topped off by coordinating wash primers and primers with excellent adhesive properties, first-class corrosion protection and optimal surface finish for a wide-ranging selection of base materials.

Alesta Anodic Collection – powder coatings for elegant anodised effects
The innovative Alesta Anodic Collection combines the elegant matte design and brilliant colour effects of traditional anodised surfaces with the advantages of an environmentally compatible powder coating. The patented Qualicoat and GSB certified powder coating collection for architecture and design applications is available in the standard anodised colours of neutral, bronze, black, brown and champagne. The run of the powder coat is nearly equal to that of wet paints. Just like all other powder coatings, the coatings from the Anodic Collection are adjustable to the application and allow users to coat such various surfaces as aluminium and steel profiles, panels and metal sheets. This ensures excellent colour matching on many different surfaces. Even surface irregularities, which can occasionally appear on aluminium profiles, become invisible with a powder coating from the Alesta Anodic Collection. Additional features include easy workability, helping to create matching colour tones, as well as a high durability and colour stability that lasts up to two decades.
