Independent Machine Company Accumulator With 50’ Of Storage Capacity

May 9, 2010 - PRLog -- The modular pneumatic accumulator with tension feedback provides approximately 50’ of storage for continuous, uninterrupted operation zero speed  to perform a  changeover or manual splice sequence. The material is always running through the accumulator that can accommodate up to 8” wide product. During a changeover sequence pneumatic clamp holds the product as the accumulator begins to fill. Web tension is monitored by a loadcell which outputs a signal to the E/P regulator that controls the festoon speed of the accumulator to maintain operating tension.

NOTE: The changeover must be completed before the accumulator is 90% filled or a circuit will call for system STOP.  Once the splice is completed the accumulator empties  under controlled tension to await the next sequence.
