Article Grunge Aims To Become Top Article Directory

Article Grunge aims to compete with the top article directories and become the premiere article directory on the internet. Catering to it's authors, Cory Jean has set the bar high for himself and we ask him why.

May 9, 2010 - PRLog -- Article Grunge owner and editor, Cory Jean, says that he has set the vision and goals for his article directory high because he wants to provide a valuable spot of internet real estate for authors and marketers to strut their stuff. Where others have started article directories with the intent of pure financial gain in mind, Cory has instead put his authors ahead of himself.

“Perhaps my mother dropped me on my head or I burned through some necessary part of my brain during college, I don't know...it just seemed like the right thing to do. The way I figure, there is no sense in being greedy and junking up a nice article directory with a bunch of advertising. It turns people off and it's just not aesthetically pleasing to me. Yeah, I want it to look pretty! But seriously, I wanted to create the type of article directory that I wanted my own articles to be in. Side by side with other well written articles and not a bunch of spammy junk. Simple!”

When asked what makes Article Grunge different than other article directories the young author said:

“Well, I set the bar pretty high for authors. Articles have to be over 500 words which is more than double what many other article directories require but the way I look at it, if you can't write five good paragraphs on a topic then you have no business writing about something. In addition, I approve or reject all articles myself. If I can't read it and it's even a loosely spun article that doesn't read quite right I'm gonna reject it. I want good articles that people can actually read. It has hurt me a bit in the beginning but I am seeing headway in my rankings with the search engines so I think that it's going to pay off for my authors. Also, I keep the advertising to a minimum so my authors don't have to worry about someone not being able to find their resource box with their links and I don't add links to articles or any of those shenannigans...”

When asked what his goals were for Article Grunge, Cory Jean said:

“I want Article Grunge to be right up there with the big boys, and you know who I'm talking about. I want to give those other article directories and ezine publishers a good run for their money. Healthy competition is the cornerstone of business and I want that top spot just for the glory and for my kids. Yeah, I have three kids and I plan on passing this article directory down to them hoping that they will continue on where I left off if I ever do die...or if they put me in a home because I'm a pain in the butt!”

When asked if he had any future plans for Article Grunge the editor replied:

“Oh sure! I'm already looking at adding a membership portion to the site which would allow for syndication of my author's articles to a few select article directories. The problem is finding good directories to syndicate stuff to. I might just wind up having to create additional sites to syndicate to but if that is the way it has to be then so be it. We're looking into allowing authors to have no-follow links which will help the the rankings of their sites and also affordable article writing services. I also have a few other tricks up my sleeve but I'm hesitant to show my hand right yet. Basically, I'm just out to help people to get the word out about their website and give them a great place to do their article marketing. I know that it's tough out there and there are thousands of other article directories, most of which accept anything or are  basically abandoned. It's rather sad, to tell you the truth. But we plan on being around for a long time and there will come a day when we will be at or near the top of the heap...there's no doubt about it.”
