The Summit had been announced by President Barak Obama, during his Cairo, June 4th speech to the Muslim world. The Summit highlighted the importance of job creation, community development and identifying economic and social advancement. The President launched several programs and initiatives of focused sustainability and financing for entrepreneurs and innovation. The Summit was covered by the White House media and government outreach channels.

Also, addressing the delegates and participants, was Secretary Clinton who delivered closing remarks and hosted a breakfast for Women Entrepreneurs as she launched the Secretary's Innovation Award for Women's and Girls' Empowerment, among other announcements. Also participating in the Summit was: Secretary of U.S. Departments of Commerce and Secretary of Education, Senior Representatives of the White House, assistants to the President, special envoys and Senior US DOS Officials, World Bank, USAID and large US & Islamic bodies’ representative and delegates.

Parallel events took place before and after the Summit, with more than 30 partnering organizations, who extended invitations and networking opportunities to Summit delegates, counterparts and Ambassadors to the United States from delegates’ home countries.

As a Panellist and speaker, at the UNDP and AED sponsored international “Entrepreneurship, Education, and Gender Equality in the Muslim World” Forum in line with  advancing President Obama’s Cairo Agenda towards education reform and spurring more female entrepreneurs, the CEO of World Links addressed the entrenched obstacles to entrepreneurship and innovation in Muslim societies that World Links is trying to address, and how World Links training programs directly addresses these obstacles, with special efforts to include women and girls in its programs.

In its scalable training plans and new vision, World Links aims to reach 100 million youth and women within the next decade. The Summit comes as a step towards reaping opportunities towards realizing World Links set goals, to make a different in the future world.
