Victoria BC's weather is moderate all year round. Ranging from highs of 26 C in the summer to lows of 2 C in the winter. Snow rarely ever falls and when it does it never really ever sticks around. Victoria's climate has been compared to the same meteorological conditions of the northern Mediterranean. Even though being on the west coast of North America the climate is semi arid and does not nearly get the same amount of rain fall as other communities in the region.
Victoria has been unfairly labelled a wet and dreary town, and in the winter months it most certainly can be. However, the summers are known to have long stretches of clear and sunny periods that last for weeks and even months at a time. This has made Victoria BC a highly desirable and renowned destination for travellers known the world over. In fact, due to Victoria's weather patterns, founding pioneers made this rich farm land into acres upon acres of orchards. Most of the orchards have been upturned and build over but you can still find a large amount of stray fruit trees through out the city and even the odd abandoned section of orchard.
If you are planning a trip to this garden city or if you are a local and would appreciate a great resource for local weather information, come on over to our web sites latest edition Victoria Weather BC. http://www.victoriabcca.com/
