China and India - We Need More Coal Now - Fireside Chemical Treatment helps coal market
China and India need more coal now as highest record coal mining and highest record coal usages in still not enough to meet each of the country’s needs.
There is an estimated 1.6 billion tpa of coal currently supplied to Asia’s smaller Industrial Boiler market, with more than 2 million small boilers scattered across Asia.
India and China, the two fastest growing coal-consuming countries must do all they can to save on precious coal. Coal is their most abundant but challenged fuel resource.
Why is coal challenged?
Coal prices are steadily increasing. In China this week sub-bituminous coal with calorific value of 5,800 kcal/kg costs more than $112.00 per metric tonne. Coal prices are expected to climb as we enter the hot summer months and with much of China experiencing a severe drought - hydroelectric power is severely hampered.

How does Coal Catalyst work? Coal Catalyst CC-88 accelerates the oxidation-
reaction of carbon to produce more heat per unit time. Coal
Catalyst CC-88 Oxidizes carbon at temperatures lower than normal
ignition temperatures, this speeds combustion and thereby reduces
carbon and slag deposits in the colder regions of the boiler.
As a Slag Modifier, CC-88 alters slag deposits to a more friable, softer
easy to remove deposit that provides greater heat-transfer and reduces
cleaning costs. The catalyst will also acts as an Emission Control
Agent that separates sulfur substantially reducing the quantity
of sulfur dioxide, an “acid rain” contributor, in the flue gases. Fly Ash
reductions also occur when greater amounts of carbon are com busted reducing the loading to the particulate collection devices.
