May 7, 2010 - PRLog -- United Native Radio is proud to become a part of the Tenacity Radio family, Raven and Jo-Ann co-hosts of the program are two Mohawk women with strong opinions they are there to bring you the best in indigenous programming. These two spirited women set out to create a buzz and they have. Raven remarked, "There are a lot of programs that skirt around or don't address the real native issues, Jo-Ann and I like to face them head on. I think we have gotten a lot of respect because of that. But we aren't afraid to add a little humor to it either."
There are a few things UNR is trying to accomplish Raven Duclos said, "First and foremost- we aren't here to please everyone. If you come listen to the show and expect it to be happy, happy all is love because we're indigenous, you're in the wrong place!"
The passion that Raven and Jo-Ann have for this subject is obvious when you listen in to the program. " We are not a PC  (politically correct) show. If you expect us to praise those who continually commit genocidal acts upon our people, you're in the wrong place! If you are here to talk to many talented NDNs, hear great music, learn of the wrong and the rights that are going on in the northeast and throughout Turtle Island, my friend you are in the right place."

When asked what was the inspiration for creating United Native Radio Raven said," We are here for many reasons, to bring unity, to bring cultural awareness and strength and to give our people a source for news that is native oriented and timely, music that you love and guests that are phenomenal!"  United Native Radio is seeking a wide variety of guests , "Some will be fun, some will be serious and some will be controversial. We are always looking for people to be on the show, so if you have something to say, or know someone who does please contact us."

United Native Radio is comprised of eight segments bringing you news, events and information, the guest and their playlist, and call-in segments. The best part? The Moose Muffin Awards! These virtual awards are given out to those who tick you off, whether it be at a powwow, a gathering, a shop or driving your car. Give a shout out to your nemesis on the last Thursday of every month. Nominees are accepted through call ins or e-mails.
UNR is on Tenacity Radio every Thursday night from 7-9:00p est.  Raven said,"This is a call-in program so you can talk to our guests and get your questions answered. Remember, the more you interact with us, the better we can serve you, so feedback is important."

With guests lining up such as Dirty Girl's Soaps, acotr/model/activist Mo Brings Plenty, and activist Ben Carnes these girls will definitely be putting on a good show for you all! The first show airs May 20th 2010 at 7 pm est on http://www.tenacityradio.com
