Gift shop grand opening event in Winston-Salem showcases handmade crafts by North Carolina artists

May 6, 2010 - PRLog -- Winston-Salem, NC -- rdInnovations today announced the Grand Opening of its consignment gift shop featuring local crafts artists, which is well-stocked with a wide variety of charming, one-of-a-kind handcrafted gifts, fashion accessories, household items and décor pieces. A celebratory Grand Opening event will be held on May 8, 9am – 5pm at rdInnovations in the shops of Gordon Square, 4003 BB Country Club Road (behind Knit One Smock Two) in Winston-Salem, NC 27104. The free event will feature door prizes, antique cars, and the opportunity to meet local artists whose works are showcased in the shop. Manager Denise Louizos combined her business skills with manager Ruth Wheeler’s crafty thinking to create rdInnovations. “People who come in our store are always pleasantly surprised by the uniqueness, quality and variety of the products our artists supply,“ said Louizos. “Whether they’re looking for woven goods or wood-turned pens, candles or cards, jewelry or jellies, quilts or felts, pottery or painted glassware, soaps or scents, our shoppers leave happily toting gift bags full of one-of-a-kind items.” Wheeler, who has been crafting for 40 years, said that the store’s Moravian Advent wreaths (available year round) are one of the shop’s featured products. The wreaths have been marketed to Old Salem and stores such as Salem Creek.
