Hankinson has Double Success at PDA Awards
Hankinson Painting Group are delighted to announce that they have secured two “Very Highly Commended” Awards in the 2010 Painting Decorating Association Premier Trophy Awards.

P4 Oldbury Viaduct has been successful in the Industrial Category and Manchester Joint Hospital has been successful in the Commercial Category.
Their work on the Oldbury Viaduct was on behalf of the Highways Agency and Amey Mouchel. Hankinson carried out works to approximately 15,000m² of structural steelwork on the Viaduct which is situated under the M5 Motorway, Birmingham. Works included erection of scaffolding and encapsulation to protect the surrounding British Waterways environment, blasting and painting works using a wet/dry blast system using approximately 750 tonne of Scangrit medium abrasive. This was then followed by the application of a 4 coat high build coating system (approximately 8,500 litres of paint was used). Full traffic management was put in place given that it was a very busy residential/
Their work on Manchester Joint Hospitals was for Bovis Lend Lease on Phase 2 of the project. Orders for Phases 3-5, the Facility Management Centre and Clinical Science Building then followed. The main scope of works included painting walls, structural steelwork and woodwork to wards and general areas and applying hygienic coatings to walls in sterile areas such as treatment rooms and operating theatres.

2007 Decorative Painting Contract of the Year for St. George’s Hall, Liverpool
2006 Industrial Painting Contract of the Year for Menai Bridge, North Wales.
The awards will be held at the historic Painters Hall, home of the Worshipful Company of Painter Stainers in the City of London on 17th June.
