May 4, 2010 - PRLog -- Peter Clarke your average citizen independent candidate, seeking a seat for North York Community Ward 23 on Toronto city council this October 25/10 has to date come up with saving of over $283.2 Million dollars.

For a complete breakdown of Clarke's campaign mission platform visit his web site @ www.peterclarketoronto.com

Peter perhaps has also found one solution which would take a majority of the tax burden off the backs of renters, condo owners, homeowners and businesses when it comes to funding for the TTC.

Clarke is not beholding to special interest groups, lobbyists or any political party and is seeking the assistance of both the provincial and federal government, which consists of two different political parties holding power at this time.

What is needed he insists is for the provincial and federal governments to get off their respective CULOS and make a lasting commitment to Public Transit now.

With over 26 provincial and federal sitting members coming from the Toronto area alone the support for Toronto and other cities with Public Transit systems should obviously be there from all parties if they wish to get themselves reelected.

All that is required is to allocate to cities, with existing public transit systems based on populations, a per cent age of the billions of dollars collect annually from both federal and provincial existing gasoline and diesel taxes TODAY, for Public Transit once and for all.

With 6 months left before the elections on October 25/10 Peter is confident that he can come up $325 MILLION dollars in proposed savings for Toronto and North York Ward 23 for 2010 and beyond.

It seems Peter CLARKE is well on his way to achieving that goal for his future constituents with the help of a New Mayor and councillors that have the common sense of the people.
On October 25/10 Torontonians have a decision to make before voting.

Either keep incumbent councillors on council or CHANGE them for the common sense of the people.

As voters footing the bill do you wish to continue reelecting career politicians who have turned public service into a 28 year employment opportunity backed by their lobbyists and special interest groups or take a chance on the future with new ideas and solutions for Toronto’s fiscal problems?

Toronto is OUR CITY, YOUR VOTE and OUR FUTURE TOGETHER begins with your victory on October 25, 2010, for our North York Community and Toronto as one united city.
