May 3, 2010 - PRLog -- Everybody has a family, for better or for worse. Families instill love, values and pride, and they sometimes cause heartache and scandal. Families fall apart, and families come together. Everyone has lost loved ones, but do they ever really leave? Is anybody ever really alone? House of Love is a novel about family, forgiveness, and the ties that bind through life and afterlife.

Seven-year-old Paul is sent away to his grandparents’ house in Sulphur Springs, Texas after his little sister dies. He feels responsible for his sister’s death, as he was put in charge of watching her while his mother slept away her depression. Paul’s grandparents take him into their charge and try to ease his guilt and to help him cope with his new life. His great-grandmother, Big Mama, lives next door. As a medium to the spirit world, Big Mama begins her own brand of tutelage, teaching Paul the art of communication between the living and the dead.

Do the dead watch over us? Can the dead forgive us? Can we forgive those who have passed on? In House of Love by Jason Dry, the dead and the living reunite, and young Paul learns that family is always connected, and that nothing is ever as it seems.
