An Afternoon Of Inspiration With Jonathan Singleton

The Roxbury Center for the Arts at Hibernian Hall will host gospel/jazz conductor, Jonathan Singleton for An Afternoon of Inspiration on Sunday, May 16, 2010 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. This event will feature instrumental and choral style gospel/jazz music.
 
April 29, 2010 - PRLog -- Singleton, a musician and conductor, graduated from Berklee College of Music in 1987and has since become a highly successful and sought after conductor and choral director in Boston. He is director of the Unity Gospel Ensemble at Northeastern University and the Gospel Choir at Bunker Hill Community College.  Additionally, Singleton is the Music Director of City Stage Company, a performing arts organization for inner-city youth, and through City Stage he is artist-in-residence at the Rogers School in Hyde Park. He also instructs and conducts gospel concerts for the Mystic Chorale, a community choir based in Arlington, MA.

An Afternoon of Inspiration will showcase renowned Gospel and Jazz choral conductor, Jonathan Singleton and a mixed choir of 40 hand-picked voices, as well as a smaller select group of back-up singers and a full band.  The program will feature choral and instrumental music specifically selected by Jonathan for this event. Although he usually has his back to the audience making a choir, band, or soloist sound as good as possible, An Afternoon of Inspiration will be a chance for Jonathan Singleton to shine in his own spotlight.

An Afternoon of Inspiration will take place at Roxbury Center for Arts at Hibernian Hall, located at 184 Dudley Street in Roxbury.  Admission for the family-friendly concert is $15 general audience, $10 for senior citizens, and $5 for children under 12 years old..
