Gemrico Takes Club Music To New Heights

Gemrico is from Chicago, Illinois.    Much of his music was influenced by his father’s career as a music promoter for two well known theatres in Chicago.  The bands he promoted were mostly salsa bands from New York and Puerto Rico.  When the bands were in town, they would even stay at his home. This is where Gemrico’s love for songwriting and composing came from.  Being influenced by the best salsa music in the business had its hold on him the music that Gemrico creates is Latin, house, dance, film, video and r & b.

Gemrico’s lead single, “Wishing You Were Here” is from his debut cd titled “Gemrico 2010”.  This single is about missing someone you love, whether it’s a family member or your mate.  Itis a love song with an R & B rhythm.   Its smooth energy and smooth vocals makes you think that this song’s only for you.  "It's basically smooth urban surface type of r & b flow”.  Gemrico’s lyrics are created as he fiddles with different sounds and melody’s on his keyboard.  With the passing of his mother not long ago, the lyrics have become heightened and with greater meaning than before.

This cd is set for release summer of 2010.

Gemrico was the opening act for Spin Doctors while playing in the band Undersiege in Chicago.  He was also the opening act for Northwestern University and has opened for the Bedbugs  in Downtown Chicago.
