Family Gateway Announces 2010-11 Board Officers

Family Gateway, Inc., announced that Ruth Ann Firestone, a vice president at Comerica Bank in Dallas, has been elected as Chair. Serving as Vice Chair is Pam Blankenship; as Secretary, Joe Vickrey and as Treasurer, Kelly Harris.

April 29, 2010 - PRLog -- DALLAS, April 29, 2010 – Family Gateway, Inc., a Dallas area non-profit providing homeless families with children with supportive housing, transitional housing, rapid re-housing (HPRP), children’s services, job services, culinary arts training and community transition services, has announced that Ruth Ann Firestone, a vice president at Comerica Bank in Dallas, has been elected as Chair for the 2010-11 year.  Serving as Vice Chair is Pam Blankenship of Comerica Bank; as Secretary, Joe Vickrey of Berkadia Commercial Mortgage and as Treasurer, Kelly Harris a community volunteer, each serving a term of one year.

“We are grateful for the strong organizational leadership provided by these new officers.  We look forward to a dynamic year ahead as Family Gateway continues to be an effective leader and vital service provider for Dallas’ homeless families with children,” said Family Gateway Executive Director, Connie S. Boyd.

Today, Family Gateway serves more than 150 families per year.  That’s more than 400 children that are nurtured, counseled and cared for each year.  Since 1986, Family Gateway has served more than 3,800 families and 7,600 children.
