The course is not intended to turn the ex servicemen and women into sailors it is hoped that they will rediscover a passion for life and feel encouraged along their road to recovery. After they have learnt the ropes they will compete in sailing competitions with able bodied sailors in some of the most gruelling and challenging regattas and races, this is no second rate option for injured service men and women it requires mental and physical strength to compete.
