Located within two miles of the Tuscaloosa Regional Airport, the Tuscaloosa By-Pass offers a way to avoid congestion on local highways and get to the show faster.

"We're expecting record crowds so we recommend that people use The Tuscaloosa By-Pass to travel to and from the Tuscaloosa Air Show to save time and gas and avoid traffic congestion if possible."

“With over 140,000 fans attending the Tuscaloosa Air Show last year, we are working with the city to make traffic flow as freely as possible this year,” states Tommy Cleary Tuscaloosa By-Pass Manager. “Instead of sitting in congested traffic wasting time and gas, we want travelers to be able to get to the Air Show activities as quickly and easily as possible.”

The U.S. Navy Blue Angels will make their only 2010 area-appearance at the Tuscaloosa Air Show, http://tuscaloosa.schultzairshows.com/, sponsored by the cities of Tuscaloosa and Northport and the Tuscaloosa Regional Airport.

This year’s event will also feature the U.S. army Golden Knights and Canadian Forces Skyhawks Parachute Teams and:

With the theme, “Salute to all Veterans,” the show will feature over four hours of daily, flying activities along with ground displays representing over 70 years of aviation history. Gates open on Saturday, May 8th and Sunday May 9th at 9:00 a.m. Flying begins at 10:30 a.m. both days with the U.S. Navy Blue Angels flying at 3:00 p.m.
