By: Suzanne Ostler The independent recruitment agency is already leading the way having been thrust onto the international stage winning a Green Apple Award for Environmental Best Practice and Sustainable Development for its Paperless Office Project. The agency is using Green Office Week, spearheaded by office expert Avery, to remind staff – and candidates, clients and suppliers – just how much difference can be made by everyone working together to become more environmentally friendly. ACR staff, working at the head office in Park Road and the satellite office in Lynch Wood, both in Peterborough, have pledged to undertake the daily Green Office Week challenges. Monday - Make A Start Day - is followed by Choose Right Tuesday, Waste Not Wednesday, Think Ahead Thursday and Feel Good Friday. Each day a list of eco-friendly tips will be circulated by project organiser Lucy Whitwell who will then monitor the response from staff and encourage changes to be made. “As an office, and individually, we like to think we are very green. The changes we have implemented over the last two years from becoming virtually paperless to putting compost bins in the kitchen have not only made us greener as a company but have increased our efficiency and saved money,” said Lucy. “By signing up for Green Office Week we are reinforcing those messages and also hoping to encourage other companies to follow our lead.” For more information about Green Office Week visit the website www.greenofficeweek.eu .
