Born in Yazoo City Mississippi, Grammy Nominated Bass player, Singer, Composer and Arranger stepped to the world stage at the tender age of 13, playing bass guitar before landing his own supestardom with MEGA HITS such as the verrrrry funky "WIDE RECEIVER"!  "BE MY GIRL"! "IN THE NIGHT TIME"! "TAKE ME, I'M YOURS"! "WE BOTH NEED EACH OTHER"! (Phyllis Hyman Duet)  "CAN'T WE FALL IN LOVE AGAIN"! (Phyllis Hyman Duet) "VALENTINE LOVE" (Jean Carn Duet) "AT THE CONCERT"! (Roberta Flack Duet) "LET ME LOVE YOU"! THE 4 TIMES GRAMMY NOMINATED, YOU ARE MY STARSHIP!!

Having written, sang, and played bass on Phyllis Hymans' first top ten hit, "We Both Need Each Other", Michael Henderson went on to record with Ms. Hyman the classic, "Can't We Fall In Love Again", considered today  to be one of the top ten duets of all time!  His taste for singing duets only heightened with the sultry vocals of Roberta Flack on the also, Henderson penned hit, "At the Concert", additional  chart-toppers would include the Michael Henderson penned, "Valentine Love" a classic lovers' anthem featuring the sassy, jazzy vocals of Jean Carn.  Let us not forget, the soulful single, "Take Me, I'm Yours" featuring the steaming highs of Ms. Rena Scott!  

Michael Henderson first gained world wide recognition as an acclaimed young bass player with groups such as "The Detroit Emeralds", "The Fantastic Four", "The Funk Brothers" and was the FUNK anchor for Stevie Wonder, at the tender age of 19!  Musicians  marveled at his prowess and knowledge of his instrument.  Audiences included the likes of Mick Jagger, Dr. John, Diana Ross, Betty Davis, Miles Davis and more.  After one such extraordinary, truly inspiring Stevie Wonder concert, Legendary Trumpeter Miles Davis made his way backstage only to inform Stevie, "I'm Takin' Yo F@&(*(%@ Bass Player!"  With Miles, a new style of playing was developed...Bass players the world over wanted to know who this person was that helped alter the way music is played and listened to!!!  The rest is history!

Michael Henderson went on to perform on more than 50 Miles Davis Albums, and simultaneously while recording with Miles, Henderson played bass on the following chart-toppers;  "You're The Man," with singer Marvin Gaye, the album/single "Whatcha See is Whatcha Get!" and "In The Rain" both by Super-Group, "The Dramatics".  

Henderson traveled the world incessantly with Miles, until he (Michael Henderson) decided to write, sing and record his first hit, "Valentine Love" on the Norman Connors album, "Saturday Night Special" featuring the smooth vocals of Michael Henderson and Jean Carn!  Following this hit release was the super phenomenal, repeatedly recorded, "You Are My Starship" from the Norman Connors Album of the same name, "You Are My Starship".  Though it is often times thought that Norman Connors is the vocalist, it is actually the vocal stylings, of Michael Henderson himself, also Bassist, Composer, Arranger and Producer of this classic!  He then went  on to record several albums which garnered many top ten hits!!  Those albums are, "In The Night-Time", "Wide Receiver", "Solid", "Goin' Places", "Do It All", Sling Shot", "BedTime Stories", and "Fickle".

Singing her latest production, "Chance of A Lifetime", guest vocalist and longtime Jackson Mississippi resident  Ms. Katrenia Jefferson, though born in Maryland, raised in Jackson Mississippi,  Ms. Jefferson hails from  a long line of entertainers!  Her Great Aunt, Grandmother and  Mother are all great singers!  Ms. Jefferson stepped into the world of entertainment at the tender age of 8, performing in a black history program at her school, singing Mahalia Jackson's "Speak Lord Jesus" and rocked the house!!  When the audience rose to their feet, giving thunderous applause, she knew then that this was her calling!  

Katrenia's voice has taken her all over the world, and at the age 15 & 16 years old she began to tour with a well known choir in Jackson.  She was one of the youngest members in the choir AND the lead singer on a lot of the songs they sang!   She also lead the title track song "Walk with me Lord, on the first album the Greater Fairview Young Adult Choir recorded, she was 16 at the time. Katrenia has also sang with her mothers' gospel group!  After reaching adulthood she delved deeper, further exploring an already extraordinary talent!  She began to get a taste of the R/B side, and in 1998 she was inducted into a group called "Exam"!  They toured the Middle East. Japan, Seoul Korea, and Yokohama Japan! She was now internationally known. Upon returning to the states she recorded with a local record company and released her second recording. She later joined forces with Willie Clayton performing backgound vocals for him for a short period.  Katrenia is powerful in her musical delivery, unlike any other you've ever heard!  Once you've heard this anointed voice you will want more of it, as she sings from her very soul!  Katrenia is now currently singing with J.Blackfoot and the Soul Children, out of Memphis Tennessee, as well as independently!  She has shared the stage with such notable artists as, B.B.
