April 26, 2010 - PRLog -- There was a deadly car accident on April, 11th, when a car driven by Tim Hogan, 40, of San Diego, flipped into a local creek.

Janet Hogan, 74, a passenger in the vehicle stated that her son Tim was driving near downtown Walnut Creek along San Ramon Creek when she heard her son say that his arms failed, then he passed out at the wheel. The car hit a fence then flipped over into an overflowing, rain filled San Ramon Creek and landed on it's top. http://northcountyimport.com

Tim was taking his parents out to dinner while in town from his home in San Diego. It's believed that Tim had suffered a heart attack or seizure while driving in the down pouring rain. His mother Janet stated that her son had always been in good health prior to the accident.

The car veered out of control as Tim was unconscious at the wheel. Janet's husband, 79 year old James Hogan had grabbed the wheel at an attempt to bring the car under control when the accident happened. Janet noticed her son was still unconscious, and she saw blood coming from a wound on her husbands head.

Janet stated that she just wanted the doors to open so she could get out. She got out and tried to get her husband out by his jacket. When she got him out of the door the current swept him away down the raging creek. She attempted to remove her son but the current was too swift and swept her down stream.

Janet was soon overtaken by the rushing water and went under and blacked out. A police helicopter spotted Janet downstream about three miles and rescued her from the creek. Janet stated while being wheeled into the emergency room that she remembers nothing of being swept away by the current.

Her husband's body was found 6 miles from the crash site 3 day's later by a helicopter from a local airport. It was determined that James and Tim Hogan died by drowning.
