Way to Transform Shridhar University Rajasthan Celebrates World Entrepreneurship Day

Entrepreneurs should think beyond the available resources to become a successful innovator, and this is not just limited to a particular region, the golden rule applies to all.

April 16, 2010, World Entrepreneurship Day (WED) is an internationally-recognized day for the celebration, education, and inspiration of entrepreneurs and innovators. The mission of WED is to remind the world that it is entrepreneurs who have consistently and courageously led economies in recession back to prosperity and growth through innovation and job creation.

To know about new areas ripe for entrepreneurship one must take inspiration from Beth Comstock, Chief Marketing Officer and SVP of GE quote “ I would love to be a 30 year old in India or Brazil right now. There’s so much going on with the economy … there are huge opportunities in energy, transportation, health care…”

Way to Transform Shridhar University established under Section 2(f) of UGC Act. 1956 by the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly vide The Shridhar University Act No. 4 of 2010 is located on the Pilani – Chirawa State Highway No. 13 towards Jaipur in the famed Shekhawati region widely known as the world’s largest open art gallery. This region of Rajasthan is the cradle of many of the greatest industrial houses of India which include Birla, Modi, Mittal, Bajaj, Dalmia, Piramal, Jhunjhunwala, Sanghi, Somani, Goenka, Poddar, Murarka, Aggarwal and Singhania.

Spread over 60 acres area, the Shridhar University master plan envisages a School of Engineering and Technology; School of Business Studies and International Trade; School of Basic and Applied Sciences; School of Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences; School of Humanities, Social Sciences, Arts and Fine Arts; School of Legal Studies and Governance; School of Education Technology; School of Medicine; School of Library Science and Information; School of Mass Communication and Media and a School of Oriental Sciences.

Shridhar University organized a talk by a budding entrepreneur Sameer Lodha a third year student of BITS Pilani who is the dreamer behind the new venture Dream Juices in the Lecture Theatre to celebrate World Entrepreneurship Day. The young Sameer spoke with passion about his Juice revolution mission and impressed the audience which included students and faculty members of Shridhar University. Prof BR Natarajan Pro Vice Chancellor and Director of School of Engineering & Technology Shridhar University welcomed the young entrepreneur and informed that Shridhar campus will also be having an Institute for Innovation to nurture entrepreneurship culture among faculty and students.

The dreamer behind Shridhar University Mr Vijay Pal Yadav appreciated the entrepreneurial spirit of Sameer Lodha and encouraged him to carry the Dream Juices mission to great heights.

Admissions for the academic session 2010 - 2011 are proposed to be made using scores obtained in AIEEE / IIT JEE / RPET / UJET / ENAT apart from scores obtained in the entrance exam to be conducted by Shridhar University.
