Northern Washington, D.C. Woman Crowned Mrs. Washington, D.C. International
Erica Parkhurst was crowned Mrs. Washington, D.C. International this month and will go on to compete for the title of Mrs. International 2010 during the final competition in Chicago, July 13-17, 2010.
Parkhurst is the founder and president of Parkhurst Premier Events and an active community volunteer with numerous organizations, including Women under Forty Political Action Committee (PAC) and RightNOW, which is a volunteer organization for women offering educational forums and networking opportunities. During her reign as Mrs. Washington, D.C. International Parkhurst will support and promote her platform, The Young Women’s National Conference, which is an organization she founded and serves as president. The Young Women’s National Conference is an annual event dedicated to improving self esteem in high school-aged women.
“Being Mrs. Washington, D.C. International will help me continue to serve young women on a grander scale,” said Parkhurst. “My goal is to inspire all girls to reach their full potential as confident, influential and bold young women.”

The Mrs. International Pageant is owned and operated by International Pageants, Inc., which also operates Miss International and Miss Teen International pageants. It is the only platform-based pageant system dedicated to highlighting women’s accomplishments through community support.
