By: Bark Busters Home Dog Training “Having our Celebrate the Outdoors photo competition was a great way for all of us to support responsible dog ownership through a fun contest that resulted in a donation to an animal shelter or protection agency,” said Liam Crowe, CEO and master dog behavioral therapist, Bark Busters USA. The competition was held from February 28, 2010 through March 18, 2010. A panel of Bark Busters judges selected the top five finalists, and the winners were determined by real-time public vote and announced on April 19, 2010. The grand-prize winner was Zoe, a bull mastiff from Schaumburg, Il; the second-place winner was Nika, a Siberian Husky/Chihuahua mix from Park City, UT; and the third-place winner was Violet, a Vizsla, from Phoenix, . As the grand-prize winner, Zoe and her family were awarded a $500 donation to a local animal-related charity of their choice and a Bark Busters gift bag worth $100. Zoe’s family chose to give the donation to the Almost Home Foundation, an all volunteer, not-for-profit, charity organization dedicated to rescuing stray and abandoned animals from surrounding areas of Illinois. The second-place winner, Nika, and the third-place winner, Violet, were awarded Bark Busters gift bags worth $75 and $50, respectively. “We were looking for the best photos in the most unique outdoor settings, and we had so many great submissions” For more information on the Celebrate the Outdoors photo competition rules, or to find a Bark Busters dog behavioral therapist in your area, please visit BarkBusters.com. # # # About Bark Busters Bark Busters, the world's largest, most trusted dog training company, started in Australia in 1989 and came to the United States in 2000.
