Ultimate Newscast Makeover 2010 Contest Begins

April 21, 2010 - PRLog -- What started in 2006 as the first Ultimate Newscast Makeover (UNMO) contest will undergo its third series as three premier television industry design companies introduce the Ultimate Newscast Makeover 2010 contest.  FX Design Group (FX) will provide the design, fabrication and installation of the set area. Stephen Arnold Music (SAM) will provide the music element.  VDO Design & Animation (VDO) will supply the graphics elements.

The Ultimate Newscast Makeover 2010 Contest opened its website today for contestants to download the application form and take a first look at the new site. Anyone interested in applying for the contest can visit www.ultimatenewscastmakeover.com and download the application. The website also includes a video player, voting and polling station, a BLOG and links to Facebook  and Twitter.

“We wanted to include as many of the social media widgets as we could so that everyone could follow the contest by whatever tool or gadget they prefer to use” commented chief Strategy Officer Bob Gravely. “We think this will make the contest much more engaging and entertaining for everyone,” Gravely continued.

Applications will be accepted through the end of May. Four finalists will be chosen from the applicant group. Those four finalists will work with an FX Design Team to develop a design for their set area makeover. The four designs will be posted on the UNMO website and open for viewer voting. The design with the most votes will win the makeover contest. Along with the set area makeover from FX the winner will also receive a music package from Stephen Arnold Music and a graphics package from VDO Design & Animation. The new set area will be delivered and installed in early Fall 2010.
