Broker Representing Bahamas Condos for Sale Becomes BREA Director

April 21, 2010 - PRLog -- NASSAU, BAHAMAS— Rachel Pinder, a broker whose Nassau realty firm represents owners of Bahamas real estate for sale, has been elected as a Bahamas Real Estate Association director for a second time.

Pinder, who also helps clients locate Bahamas rental property, will serve a two-year terms and will chair the organization’s Developers Committee during this period.

As chair of the Developer’s Committee, Pinder will be responsible for overseeing the committee’s review and approval of developer licenses. It is important for Developers to be licensed under BREA, as this will ensure that their development gets maximum exposure to all licensed realtors, she said.

The Annual General meeting for BREA is held in March of every year and new members are  elected to serve as directors for a two-year term.  At the last meeting,  Patty Birth became the new president of BREA.

“I wanted the opportunity to work with Patty because she has good organizational skills, which I trust will bring  BREA to a new level,” said Pinder, who has been a BREA member since 1997.

BREA was created to serve several purposes, according to the organization’s Website(www.bahamasrealestateassociation.com/about.php). One goal is to connect brokers and their associates for the purpose of positively influencing matters that affect the real estate profession.
BREA membership also helps members maintain and promote the highest standard of conduct in the real estate profession. The organization adopted a Code of Ethics, which it enforces among its members as they deal with the public and each other.

The organization also saw a need to prevent infringements by foreign brokers and other unauthorized entities that aren’t owned entirely by Bahamian nationals to make real estate brokerage transactions.
