HotelTravel.com Sponsors BBAP Child-Watch Phuket Charity Golf Event

HotelTravel.com is a Platinum Plus Sponsor of the British Business Association Phuket Child-Watch Charity Golf Event on 24 April. Child-Watch Phuket provides full time care for more than 70 underprivileged school kids who have been abused.

April 20, 2010 - PRLog -- HotelTravel.com is sponsoring the 11th annual Child-Watch Charity Golf Tournament organised by the British Business Association Phuket (BBAP) at Blue Canyon Country Club in Phuket on 24 April.

This is the second major corporate social responsibility initiative benefiting Thai children that HotelTravel.com has participated in this year. In March HotelTravel.com was a Gold Sponsor of 'Race to Survive Phuket 2010 'with proceeds going to Accor Hospitality's Yim Kids Foundation which is dedicated  to improving the social well being of Thai children in Phuket, Chiang Mai and Bangkok.

HotelTravel.com Chief Information Officer, Olivier Dombey, said the company was delighted to sponsor the 11th annual Child-Watch Charity Golf Tournament.

“It truly is a worthy cause because it targets and assists the Thai children in Phuket that are most of risk because their parents are either unwilling or unable to care for them. The BBA-P has been doing outstanding work giving back to the local community in Phuket and we are proud to support their effort,” Mr Dombey, added.

This marks the eighth consecutive year HotelTravel.com has been a sponsor of this important charity event. At the last Child-Watch Charity Golf Tournament in 2008, HotelTravel.com contributed over 555,000 baht (US$17,250) to this very worthy cause in direct sponsorship, charity auction prizes and items purchased in the charity auction.

Child-Watch Phuket provides full-time care for more than 70 underprivileged school kids who have been abused and maintains a day care for children whose parents are incarcerated.
