Miss Latina Canada: The Reality Series, Season 2 Hit's Canada's National Airwaves May 1

April 20, 2010 - PRLog -- April 20, 2010 (Toronto) - Miss Latina Canada: The Reality Series, Season 2, is slated to hit national airwaves on May 1 and 15, 2010 at 2:30 pm on TeleLatino Network (TLN).  The second season proves more controversial than the first which aired on Nuevo Mundo Television (NMTV), last year.  

The series is the first of its kind in Canada, documenting the only national event in the country for the Latin American community.  Miss Latina Canada began as a beauty pageant competition in 2005, that showed exponential growth throughout the country and evolved into a television reality series.

CEO, Stefany Singh - Rodriguez represented Canada at Miss Latina World in 2003, and later moved forward to being the national director of the annual event, and associate producer of the television series.  "My career developed from my passion in communications and public relations.  I maintain a full time career as a professional public relations practitioner and have also ran this event over the last 6 years.  It has done a lot for me personally and professionally, and for the women who have participated."

That held true for most women who won, but reached it's pinnacle with the win of Mariana Valente (Miss Latina Canada 2007) as Miss Universe Canada 2009 and  Diana Schouten's (Miss Latina Canada 2009) win as Miss International World.  Currently the company represents Yajaira Mercedes of Quebec, their most recent winner who is highlighted in the series.
