April 20, 2010 - PRLog -- Building materials maker BBMG Corp (2009.HK), which has the biggest land reserve in Beijing, aimed to increase capital expenditure this year and planned to issue 3 billion yuan ($439.5 million) medium-term note in the near future, Chief Financial Officer Wang Hong-jun said.

-- Singapore Airlines (SIAL.SI) will increase capacity between Hong Kong and Singapore by 15 percent in May, reflecting increasing demand for business and leisure travel following the opening of the casino resort and theme park on Sentosa island, according to the airline's Hong Kong General Manager David Lim.

-- China Minsheng Bank (1988.HK) (600016.SS) announced its 2009 net profit surged 54 percent year on year to 12.1 billion yuan ($1.77 billion), on a net gain of 4.9 billion yuan from selling its stake in Haitong Securities (600837.SS).

-- Wheelock and Co (0020.HK) was expected to spend up to about HK$4 billion ($515 million) to buyout the remaining more than 20 percent stake in Wheelock Properties (0049.HK) held by minority shareholders in a bid to take the property arm private, according to analysts.
