April 19, 2010 - PRLog -- "We especially want to acknowledge and thank the many community physicians and health care providers who entrust us with the care of their patients with obstructive sleep apnea. Their ongoing support helps to make this community-wide effort possible." said Lisa Feierstein, RN, Founder of Active Healthcare. "I am thrilled that we are able to expand our highly successful indigent PAP therapy program and we are looking to our community physicians to refer their neediest sleep apnea patients to us for the free education, training and ongoing support they desperately need."

Active Healthcare began partnering with Urban Ministries Open Door Clinic of Wake County in 2008 to provide PAP equipment to needy residents. The program was so timely that a similar relationship was begun with Project Access, in Durham, Johnston and Wake Counties and also expanded to Alliance Medical Ministries and The Healing Place in Raleigh.

"Sleep Apnea is a serious health condition that if left untreated can have dangerous health consequences. I am proud of my team at Active Healthcare. We are truly making a difference in the lives of these patients who would otherwise not be able to receive treatment for their sleep apnea," concluded Lisa Feierstein.
