Follow on Google News | Active Healthcare Wins Grant to Provide FREE PAP EquipmentActive Healthcare has been selected as one of only eight sleep centers nationally to receive a National Sleep Foundation (NSF) "Gives Back" Award grant to provide positive airway pressure (PAP) equipment for indigent patients in their communities.
By: Lauren Ingall Active Healthcare began partnering with Urban Ministries Open Door Clinic of Wake County in 2008 to provide PAP equipment to needy residents. The program was so timely that a similar relationship was begun with Project Access, in Durham, Johnston and Wake Counties and also expanded to Alliance Medical Ministries and The Healing Place in Raleigh. "Sleep Apnea is a serious health condition that if left untreated can have dangerous health consequences. I am proud of my team at Active Healthcare.
