With performers such as Charlie Chaplin and Stan Laurel, this iconic London theatre is steeped in history. Now Unitbase.co.uk is excited to announce its exclusive representation of all filming and photography at the Hackney Empire. This stunning theatre built in 1901 undertook a huge refurbishment in 2004, which has resulted in the location having a selection of great filming and photographic locations!

Unitbase.co.uk is one of London’s top location agencies and is very proud to be representing a location that is such an iconic and famous London entertainment venue.  With clients such as Warner Brothers, BBC and Tiger Aspect, Unitbase.co.uk are keen to get started representing the property and commenced a marketing campaign on the 19th April 2010 to raise the profile of the venue as a possible filming location.

The theatre is of course home to a fantastic and traditional auditorium space, but as with any refurbished theatre, there are other great spaces that can be utilised by any filming or photographic production company.  These includes rehearsal rooms, green rooms and bar areas.  All can be locked off and are usable for filming and photography, and as due to the nature of the Hackney Empire’s business then these spaces are normally available throughout the day.
