April 19, 2010 - PRLog -- Every month Night Reading invites authors to post first chapters on its site and runs a poll to judge which book is the most popular, offering the winner a book publishing contract.

With another poll due to run between April 25 and May 1, 2010, Night Reading is pleased to announce that the winner of the April poll was Shana Raywood with her unsettling supernatural tale ‘The First Phoenix’, followed by Andy Potter’s Nepalese thriller ‘The Crier of Kathmandu’.

Night Reading / Publishing is committed to publishing good books regardless of commercial opportunity and its first releases have already met with much acclaim, from Stephen Sangirardi’s intense and literary story of adultery, called ’Monday Afternoon’, to George Polley’s anti-racist plea for friendship and humanity – ‘The Old Man & The Monkey’ – to Tim Roux’s tragic-comic magical tale of a boy dealing with the death of his father at sea in ‘Missio’, to Daniel Birch’s gangster thriller ‘Get Some’ which has Daniel being hailed as one of the first great writers of the Facebook / Twitter generation.

One of the most powerful books to come out of the Night Reading / Publishing stable is Robert Ellal’s ‘By These Things Men Live’ in which Robert describes how he survived cancer four times using a mixture of Western medical science and Eastern energy manipulation (qigong).

Upcoming books include Bruce Essar’s ‘Lockerbie’s Deception’ about the international terrorism and child kidnapping trade, Carolyn Allen’s ‘Already Famous’ biography of her father who was a plastic surgeon to Lady Churchill, Lord Lucan and the Kray Brothers, and KJ Rigby’s sharp and witty ‘Little Guide To The Unhip’.
