April 16, 2010 - PRLog -- The Go Ape experience is proper playground stuff offering around three hours of adrenaline-fuelled fun that can be shared with almost anyone over ten years old. Nothing compares to feeling fresh and active in the great outdoors, spending quality time with family or friends and living life adventurously.

Tree trekking 40ft above the forest floor invigorates your fun-loving monkey in ways you just can’t imagine. It’s a real-time adventure where you can take a walk on the wild side and get to grips with a giant treetop obstacle course of ladders, bridges, tunnels, walkways and wind-in-your-face zip wires.

Safety apes are in place. Before you and your family release your inner ape’s you’ll be kitted out with all the gear; harnesses, pulleys and karabiners. A Go Ape instructor will show you the ropes in a safety briefing and then you’re free to swing, climb, crawl and zip through the trees. Confidence building and Tarzan call training is not included, but usually come naturally during a Go Ape adventure.

The courses are made up of five or six sections and at the end of every section is an adrenalin pumping zip slide that takes you back down to the forest floor. There are easy routes for the feint-hearted but if you are after the ahh-aha-ah-aah Tarzan effect then try the more difficult black route for that extra kick.

•   Who can Go Ape? Minimum age 10 years. Minimum height 4ft 7" (1.4m).
Maximum weight 20.5 stones (130kg). A participating adult must supervise under 18 year olds. One adult can supervise either two children (where one or both are 10-15 years old) or up to five 16-17 year olds. Adults may not supervise from the ground.
