The square shaped sterling silver box is fitted with a hinged cover of stunning Tortoise Shell inlaid with a lovely sterling silver design. A figural acanthus border adds an elegant finish to this charming vanity box. Made by William Comyns, London, England. Dated 1910. Fully Hallmarked. Very Good estate Condition. The interior of the box is still fitted with the original velvet lining. Collector’s often prefer this originality, but the box can be lined with new velvet- if preferable.
