April 15, 2010 - PRLog -- The cost of Tarrant County College's Trinity River East Campus may have been settled several months ago, but it is the main issue for candidates running for the community college district's board of trustees.

The five candidates vying to represent District 5, which covers Arlington and Mansfield, have all said that's what voters want to talk about.

"The biggest thing I'm hearing is what they consider irresponsible management regarding the downtown campus," said candidate Gerry Ghearing, an Arlington real estate broker. "Whether that's true or not, that's what I'm hearing."

It was echoed by his opponents, who said the costs have struck a chord with voters.

"That's the only thing voters are consistently mentioning to me," said O.K. Carter, an Arlington newspaper columnist who also teaches at TCC Southeast Campus.
