Zohirwords Launches Anthology of Poems by Mutiat Adebowale

April 13, 2010 - PRLog -- Poetry has always been a significant genre of Literature, no doubt and will always remain so. The existence of Poetry dating back from centuries long gone has shown that poetry as a form of art predates literacy.

Poetry that first emerged as an oral instrument of expression, developed in form and structure with the development of writing.
Having transformed our world in various modes, Poetry has inadvertently become a force to be reckoned with.

This Anthology of poems will become part of a world with its clear and thorough messages. It comprises of poems preaching peace for our world to simple love poems. They are the words of an individual who believes in the strong power of words for a better world for all.

Aside from Mutiat Adebowale’s natural flair for writing and a special love for Poetry, she was inspired by the great words of the ancient English and African Poets she had come across years ago. Some of the poems in this book were first written in 1989, the year she wrote her first poem as a young girl.-

“My heart aches and bleeds
Though as if my sun shall rise not,
In the east but west
I look up to my grey hair
And lo! Displease I call it
The storm blows relentlessly

At the age of twelve Mutiat wrote this poem, imagining a future she knows nothing about, but as a poet and a deep thinker, was moved to write a poem about what life might bring and how fast life can move.

Each poem in the book has specific message and motive as well as inspirational values for all lovers of simple poetic thoughts. They are poems for teens and adults, men and women. They are poems that can be analysed on basic poetic standards and Judgements.
