Italy Tours Website Launched By PureTravel

Also displayed are sculptures from Verona’s Romanesque period.

Visit the Torre dei Lamberti for a spectacular view of the city. You can climb the stairs or take the lift to the top of this 270 foot tower from the 12th century where you can look out over the red roofs and piazzas of Verona. Construction on the tower began in 1172 and the clock was added in 1779. The two bells were placed in 1295; the Rengo called the council and townspeople to meetings and the Marangona warned people of fires.
