Grauer School Offers College Application Preparation Program

April 9, 2010 - PRLog -- Encinitas, CA----The Grauer School is offering a week-long Summer Workshop to help students prepare for the complicated task of selecting a college or university of their choice on August 2 - 6, 2010. Conducted by English Teacher and Counselor, Tricia Shemwell, the workshop, “College Application Preparation (CAP)”, will provide valuable insight and instruction on developing a personalized organizational system for each Senior. The presentation includes the following components: a calendar of important dates with deadlines; pre-completed UC and CSU applications on paper (for easy transfer online); completing the Common Application online; college essays edited and critiqued and direction in writing a personal resume of activities for submission.

According to Clayton Payne, Independent Studies Director and Summer School Principal, “Grauer School students are extraordinarily well-prepared for the college application process, in part due to this informative workshop.  The college acceptance and scholarship offers our graduating students receive consistently outperform that of other schools.
