TI Cycles inaugurates India’s 2nd Hercules Mountain Bike Park in Ooty

April 9, 2010 - PRLog -- TI Cycles of India in association with Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) inaugurated the first of its kind Hercules Mountain Bike Park in the city of Ooty, Tamil Nadu. This is a second Hercules Mountain Bike Park built by TI Cycles. District Collector- Nilgiris District, Mrs. Archana Patnaik, IAS, inaugurated the Hercules Mountain Bike Park in the presence of Mr. Arun Alagappan, Sr. Vice President, TI Cycles, Mr. Rajesh Mani- GM Marketing and Mr. K C Ramamorthy- GM Retail, TI cycles.

TI Cycles established the first Hercules Mountain Bike Park at their premises, at Ambattur, Chennai. Overwhelmed with the response of their recent Mountain Biking competition in which over 300 students from 60 schools participated, TI Cycles in association with TTDC is now enthusiastically endeavoring to promote cycling as “Faster, Fitter & Greener”. With this launch the company is providing necessary infrastructure which would enable people to come and experience the adventure of Mountain Biking.

Mountain biking is a spectacular adventure sport which is popular all across the world. Ooty being a popular tourist spot which attracts many inbound travelers from different parts of the world, the Hercules Mountain Bike Park in this region will add an extra feather to the throne of the queen of hills.  

The Hercules Mountain Bike Park has three difficulty levels- beginner, intermediate & experts. It is built on the hilly turf of the region, which gives it its natural bumps and curves and simulates real mountainous conditions. This Hercules Mountain Bike Park encompasses many adventure elements like the teeter totter, switchbacks, sponge pits, suspension bridge and various jump ramps that would make the ride interesting and eventful. The Hercules Mountain Bike Park will be maintained and controlled by TI Cycles and will be open for tourists, schools kids and others in the region to come and experience the sport.

We would also associate with a number of schools in the region to form a Mountain Biking Club in Ooty, which would be a replica of our Chennai Mountain biking club.
