Unconsultancy.com: Business Physician launches in Midlands

April 7, 2010 - PRLog -- 7th April, 2010 Rutland, England: Today sees the launch of the “Unconsultancy”  ( http://www.unconsultancy.com ) a high impact, low cost “private physician” for small and medium sized businesses in the East Midlands.

Founder, Tim Latham, who has many years of experience in PricewaterhouseCoopers, London Business School, Shell (UK) and more recently as an entrepreneur, saw a real need amongst the region’s startup and small & medium enterprise (SME) community for intelligent bespoke help. The help that an intelligent cofounder would offer – without the expense or commitment!

Latham said “I’ve been lucky enough to work for some really large businesses, but also to spend the last ten years building small businesses from scratch.  There’s loads of generic advice out there but there have been times when I’d have really valued an intelligent, objective outsider to help me through issues and to get stuck into implementing the solutions.”

The rather unusual name of “Unconsultancy” recognises that the last thing most startups and SMEs need (or can afford) is conventional management consultancy.  But the clarity of thought of an ex management consultant, with the fast, low cost “let’s get it done” approach of an entrepreneur is a potent mix.

Latham noted “I’m looking to fill that gap between rather generalized business advice that is almost everywhere, and the high quality bespoke help that only larger businesses are normally able to afford.  I love startups and small businesses that are looking to improve – maybe needing a rethink on how to address their market or how to use technology more effectively.  I’m a great believer in keeping costs as close to zero as possible for young businesses and it’s a real pleasure to help other businesses to ramp up their performance at minimal cost.”
