The Music School of Maine to host “Stomp Style” Percussion Workshop
 
The Music School of Maine, a Portland area music school, will host a two-day “Stomp Style” workshop designed to give percussion students the resources to become well-rounded percussionists. Enrollment in percussion classes has continued to climb since the school opened in January of 2010, so owner Trish Moulton is offering this weekend intensive to further introduce the program and meet the growing demand. The workshop will be lead by instructors Phil McGowan and tap dance instructor Maria McInnis. The workshop will cover a wide variety of styles and techniques on several different instruments with special emphasis on solid fundamentals. All participants will perform in a percussion ensemble on April 25th.

·       The 2 day workshop will be held on Saturday, April 24 and Sunday, April 25th from 12 p.m. - 4 p.m.
·       Students of all ages and skill levels are welcome to attend
·       The workshop will be held in The Music School of Maine at 6 School St Gorham, ME 04038
·       Application deadline is April 23rd
·       $80 workshop fee includes use of instruments
