By: khcoach The Freedom club has been working hard on setting a path for the future development of their players and club. The club is made up of dedicated, caring people, who are doing all they can to give local kids the best soccer experience possible in Plainfield Illinois. After many discussions and meetings with the Chicago Magic Soccer Club, the Freedom Soccer Club has joining forces to create a new soccer environment in the Plainfield area. The Plainfield Freedom Soccer Club will become part of the Chicago Magic alliance from this point on, and going forward into the future! What does this mean for Plainfield Illinois Soccer players? 1. The Chicago Magic is the #1 youth soccer club in the NATION! Players are now part of a club that is recognized as the top in its class. NISL has given the Chicago Magic platinum rating, which is well above any other club in the area. They are one of the few who have an academy and nation wide recognition. 2. Their training philosophy and methods are second to none. Top teams will play in many national and international tournaments. Trainers are all part of the same organization, trained the same way (consistency) 3. The Chicago Magic will run all aspects of the "soccer". This includes training, game attendance, tournament selection, team rosters, and player camps. Freedom kids will have discounted rates, and access to all the Chicago Magic Academy programs, Team Camps, and Summer Camps. Players may be picked from our club to participate in higher-level tournaments with other Magic teams and players. With the new Magic Alliance, professional trainers will be supplied by the Magic themselves. Players will get early exposure to some of the best trainers, and best programs in the nation. Trainers will have the opportunity to train and evaluate our kids. The Magic is going to train the kids with the same intensity and passion as they do all their other teams. Try outs for this newly focused soccer club will be held on the 2nd and 3rd week of May for boys (NISL) and June 1 and 3 for girls (IWSL). Magic trainers will be on site to help run sessions and evaluate players. The club is looking forward to a great 2010 Spring season, as well as growth and soccer excellence beyond. Practices for all teams start this Tuesday with our new Magic Trainers! # # # The Plainfield Soccer Club is a non for profit soccer club, made up of dedicated players, parents and coaches from Plainfield, Illinois and the surrounding area. The teams play and practice at Kensington Park, behind the Target on Rt. 59. End
