By: Middletown Regional Flight Training Institute Formerly Empower Aviation, the school was purchased early this year by Chief Flight Instructor Tim Epperhart. Making the transition to MRFTI with Epperhart are instructors Frances Mead and Kevin Moe, also formerly of Empower Aviation. In addition to their modern classroom environment, MRFTI also offers aircraft rentals, available seven days a week to accommodate any training schedule. When asked how he felt after the purchase, Epperhart stated, "I've been given a great opportunity. We are located on a great airport. I have a great staff and we have a great program that can help people achieve their dreams of flying. I have been given a number of breaks and lots of help from my friends over the years to get me here. I haven't forgotten it. This is my chance to pay some of that forward." About Middletown Regional Flight Training Institute: MRFTI is owned and operated by Tim Epperhart. A veteran flight instructor and flight school coordinator, Epperhart has been flying since 1994 and teaching since 2001.
