Forever Young Autism Awareness Red Carpet Event April 10th

April 4, 2010 - PRLog -- Portland, Oregon - April 4th, 2010 – In honor of April’s Autism Awareness Month, Forever Young Laser Medical Spa and Surgical Center is hosting a Red Carpet fundraising event on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at its Beaverton location.  

Tickets to this event are priced at $99, and all proceeds from ticket sales will go to raise money for Autism Service Dogs.

This red carpet event serves as a rejuvenating spa day for anyone concerned about autism or impacted by its effects, while at the same time raising money for Autism Service Dogs – a local charity providing a positive, immediate impact on children and families living with autism.

Although the Autism Society has been celebrating National Autism Awareness Month since the 1970s, its efforts to highlight the growing need for concern and awareness about autism are even more acute this year.  April 2010 is the first National Autism Awareness Month since the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) revised America’s autism prevalence rate to 1 in 110 children.  

At no other point in recent history has the need for autism awareness been so important, as autism is now the fastest growing developmental disability with a 1,148% annual growth rate.  It is now more prevalent than childhood cancer, juvenile diabetes, and Down’s syndrome combined, and approximately every 20 minutes a child is diagnosed with autism.

Each $99 event ticket entitles the purchaser to receive over $1,000 of services, including:
Laser hair removal, Velashape, and Accent skin tightening treatments
ReFirme skin resurfacing, microdermabrasion, and wrinkle reduction treatments
Passes to Cool Lipo liposuction and Dysport injectible seminars, held throughout the day
Tanning services and LED Light Therapy beds
