By: Music & Entertainment Industry Student Association Each year, The Leak aims to present previously featured as well as new artistic talent. The Leak also serves as an environment for local vendors, companies, and organizations to promote their businesses by the distribution of food, clothing, promotional materials, and memorabilia. The second installment of this electrifying music event will showcase 15 artist and band performances. Performers this year include Rock City of Konvict Musik/Interscope, Kontraband, Roll Out Tuesday, Nick Hagelin, Naira, University, and many more talented artist ranging from Rock to Neo-Soul/R&B, to Hip Hop. The LEAK is also Supported by BMI, HOT 107.9, Majic107.5 / 97.5, Patchwerk Recording Studios, Makin' It Magazine, Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwiches, Dark Knight Entertainment, iNetwork, Local Evolution of the World, Artist Management Group Inc., and many more powerful entertainment compaines. The Leak is a totally free event, and all are welcome. Professionals in search for new and exciting talent, individuals seeking to build their network, and anyone that can appreciate new and exhilarating music are encouraged to attend. The organizations are hosting an exclusive networking mixer for Press, Media, Entertainment Professionals, Artists, Managers, and the Sponsors of the event on Thursday April 8, 2010 at the Upscale Museum of Design Atlanta from 7:00 P.M. - 9:30 P.M. The Mixer will serve the purpose of creating an environment conducive to building professional relationships with all entities involved in the production of the show Complimentary desserts will be provided by Apple Butter Bakery & Custom Cake Shoppe with live music to compliment the sophisticated atmosphere. Any and all Media, Press, and Entertainment Professionals are welcome. The Leak is currently expected to attract an attendance of 600+ college students and professionals, and this year will definitely create an invigorating and enhanced experience shared and remembered by all those involved. MEISA also seeks to interact with students nationally and locally who are participating in music industry education programs at other colleges and universities. Black Student Alliance (BSA) at Georgia State University is an organization designed to holistically uplift the African American community of Georgia State University. BSA plans events in an attempt to serve as a voice for the student body at Georgia State University and to act as a link between black organizations on the Georgia State University campus and in the Atlanta community.
