"This Concept is Changing the Industry"

How changing your approach to internet marketing can make you successful

April 2, 2010 - PRLog -- I recently received an e-mail with the subject line "This Concept is Changing  the Industry".

To be honest, I normally don't even bother to open most e-mails. If you're like me, you get a ton of e-mails on a daily basis and most of them are soliciting you for another "great online opportunity" which normally isn't that great. But the subject line caught my eye so I clicked on it and was surprised.  It WASN'T trying to sell me another so called opportunity but was offering to show me how to build my own and the information was FREE.

The e-mail went on to state that they had sponsored over 5000 people in thier business within the first 3 months. How changing thier approach to building an online business had actually changed thier lives and the lives of those who they had sponsored by passing the information on to them.

The e-mail quoted the most quoted authority in the world on Google advertising, Perry Marshall:

"Nobody who bought a drill actually wanted a drill. They wanted a hole. Therefore, if you want to sell drills, you should advertise information about making holes– NOT information about drills!"

If you think about it, it makes sense. Do you buy a drill just to say you have one or do you buy one because you need to drill a hole? Unless you have a drill fetish, you buy one because you need to drill a hole.

How many of us who are online trying to make a living buy the drill because it looks good? A lot. We forget the purpose of the drill and if it really is something that other people need. We go from opportunity to opportunity, hardly making a dime, wondering why it's not working. Our approach is wrong. We need to start thinking about the purpose of our endeavor and how it can help others.

If you are marketing on line or are thinking about it, you might want to take a few minutes and visit thier site for FREE information. They'll give you an opportunity to upgrade to a paid member but you don't have to. That's your choice and you'll still receive some good videos on how to build your business and you can refer others to thier site and pick up a couple of dollars. If you upgrade, they pay you more.
