Customer success stories from Retrotech
Retrofit & Modernizations help clients extend equipment life, improve efficiencies and decrease operating costs
The three studies detail the modernization of various types of automated material handling equipment across the Food, Armed Forces and Beverage industries. Each study covers a unique set of business challenges and demonstrates the depth and breadth of Retrotech’s capabilities in system retrofits and modernizations.
The main goals of modernizing this facility were to reduce product damage, extend the life of the equipment and improve the performance of the ASRS equipment.
Naval Aviation Depots
The mini-loads at both sites had proprietary controls and were in poor mechanical condition while operating speeds had been reduced to half their original design.
Snack Food Company
There were service problems with the Sorting Transfer Vehicles (STVs) and some spare parts were becoming increasingly difficult to source. The original equipment manufacturer told the plant the Warehouse Control System (WCS) would no longer be supported after 2008.
Burke McCarthy, Sales and Marketing Director for Retrotech remarked “we continue to offer our clients unmatched service, support and attention to detail during our project engagement and long after the work has been done. These success stories represent a small part of what we do every day for logistics professionals. We are proud of our client retention rate and their willingness to recommend Retrotech to their colleagues.”
