The Platform Test for ISV Solutions is intended for software solutions that leverage Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Vista, Microsoft Office 2003 or Microsoft Office 2007, SQL Server 2008, the .NET Framework, and/or XML web services technologies.

The Platform Test for ISV Solutions consists of a series of five testing components:
•   Windows Server: For server applications that run on Windows Server 2008
•   Windows Client: For desktop applications that run on Windows Vista
•   Microsoft Office 2007: For desktop applications that run on Microsoft Windows and integrate with and/or leverage Microsoft Office
•   Managed Code: Code that targets the common language runtime of the .NET Framework
•   SQL Server 2008: Identifies applications that integrate with Microsoft SQL Server 2008
