Keeping Australia’s Musical Youth Engaged

April 1, 2010 - PRLog -- In March 2010 a new website was launched to keep Australia's musical youth engaged.

Music Council of Australia statistics show 90% of musicians quit before their mid twenties. Next Step Music is here to change this.

The National Review of School Music Education highlights a need for further interaction between high school music students and the broader music industry. In March 2010, Next Step Music was launched to provide this access with a range of resources and services to help young musicians take the next step.

As well as releasing Compilation CDs, Next Step Music offers a free online community, complete with articles, video tutorials, and a range of easy to use services. Artists can signup for a free account and upload their music to be considered for free distribution.

THE NEXT STEP MUSIC COMPILATION CD SERVICE

Artists can submit their song to be included on a Compilation CD and their initial release fee can be made back by selling copies of the CD.

These CDs are professionally mastered by internationally renowned Daniel Fournier, distributed Australia-wide to 50 radio stations, sent to labels, licensors, producers and other contacts, uploaded to 29 digital stores such as iTunes (100% royalties to the artists), and more.

As a pioneer in the Green Music Movement, trees are planted to offset carbon emissions, and the CDs are printed with vegetable ink and 75% recycled cases.

The compilation CD service provides an easy yet professional way to keep emerging musicians engaged and enthusiastic by getting their music out there, and a constructive outlet for youth engagement, encouraging musicians in pursuing their passions and building self-esteem by recognising achievements. The service fosters both individual creativity and team spirit.
