March 31, 2010 - PRLog -- Washington, DC -  Bill Sanders, CEO of  Crush and Press,, a firm that provides information, training and tips for exploring, using and enjoying olive oil and wine, is creating a stir with food and wine enthusiasts worldwide through his online travelogue, or travelblog.   After wrapping up and sharing his experiences during an olive oil trade mission to Tunisia, March 14-20, Sanders continues to share his business and cultural adventures via online multimedia journal, eating and drinking his way through Europe, from Tuscany to Burgundy,  until his return to Washington, DC on April 9.  Fans can live vicariously through Mr. Sanders’ journal entries  which include notes, photos and video clips within the Crush and Press blog [], Facebook [], Twitter [@crushandpress], and LinkedIn [].   [Photo:  Bill Sanders, CEO of Crush and Press and 100% Tunisia olive oil spokesperson]

While his travel itinerary reads like a foodie “dream vacation,” Sanders insists that his tour is all about business.  A key objective in visiting the wine and olive oil greats throughout the region includes the creation of strategic partnerships to enable an expanded presence within North America.  “No education available can upstage first- hand, real-world experience,” stated Sanders.  “It is imperative to engage all five senses in becoming familiar with a certain destination, its wine and/or olive oil.  Seeing, smelling, touching, listening - and last but not least, tasting - the essence…It is part of a process that helps culinary evangelists like me provide authentic and hopefully valuable information.”

He has already enjoyed time visiting "Manfredi Barbera & Figli S.p.A." [] in Palermo, one of the most cutting-edge oil producers in the international arena.    From there, Sanders payed a visit to Ms. Natalia Ravidá of the Ravida family in Sicily. Ravida   is a renowned producer of extra virgin olive oil and sea salt.  Natalia is also the author of the cookbook, “Seasons of Sicily.” The Marina Colonna Estate [] received Sanders with a warm welcome.  The Colonna estate nestles between the rolling green hills and the sparkling blue Adriatic in southern Molise’s fertile farmland. Here, donna Marina Colonna and her estate offers extra virgin olive oil, citrus oils, infused oils,  olives, tomato sauce, pates and dressings.

The following is the full outline of Sanders’ itinerary, cutting a swath through Europe's finest wine and olive oil regions.  Sanders urges online foodies to “experience along with him” as he shares his photos, videos and insights into the regions and their peoples:
