The Laguna, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Nusa Dua, Bali will turn off its lights in observance of Earth Hour, a worldwide event organized by the World Wildlife Fund to send a powerful global message about environmental awareness and caring for the planet.  Nearly one billion people turned out for Earth Hour 2009 – involving 4,100 cities in 87 countries on seven continents.

To underscore parent Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide Inc.’s  dedication to environmental sustainability, The Laguna, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Nusa Dua, Bali will also share other energy-saving measures during Earth Hour, March 27 at 20.30hrs to 21.30hrs.  Turning off exterior signage lighting; dimming or turning off non-essential interior lighting; using candlelight in appropriate public areas such as restaurants and bars; and using in-room voicemail messages and in-room television messages to inform guests about Earth Hour observances.

As part of resorts ongoing commitment to the community and social responsibility, The Laguna Resort & Spa will participate in Earth Hour 2010. Activities will include minimizing lighting in various areas and reducing the consumption of energy in other areas including turning off water falls, laundry machine and pump circulation. During this time you will notice a change in the resorts lighting, Restaurants and Bars will be full displayed by candles as well as the Lobby.

To enhance your Earth Hour 2010 experience, a special Food & Beverage and Spa treatment package has been designed to experience the sanctuary of the moment. A delightful romantic candlelight dinner at Nusa Bagus Island and moonlight massage at gazebo by the beach are not to be missed!
